Peterson Tool Collection The Lee Peterson antique tool collection is on loan to the Historical Society from the city of Coquille. The city purchased to collection in 1989 and it has been in storage awaiting a home until now. Robert Obleman, of Broadbent, recently added some 50 additional plow-planes, hand planes and hand molding tools to expand the collection. The museum is looking into the possibility of loaning the tools to society members.

Recently, Boyd Stone wrote an article for the Coquille Sentinel about Lee Peterson. You can read that article here.

Along with the tool collection, the museum has a DVD featuring Lee Peterson demonstrating many of the antique tools and his skills with a bull whip. The museum is also asking for help from the community - if you know a true story from Lee's cowboy days, click here to tell us about it.

The DVD is available at the museum for $19.95 and can be viewed in the museum while visiting.
